Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026

Passport2Pride is a travel noticeboard that helps LGBTQ+ travelers discover public meetups around Pride events. This policy explains the information we use and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

When you create an account, we receive basic account information from your chosen sign-in provider, such as your name, email address, profile image, provider identifier, and email-verification status. If you create a travel profile or plan, we may also store the information you submit, including an alias, interests, languages, approximate trip dates, city or neighborhood, and meetup details.

We do not ask users to publish hotel room numbers, exact lodging addresses, or live GPS locations. Government-ID checking is not part of the free initial launch. If introduced later, it will use a specialist provider and require separate notice and consent.

How we use information

We use information to authenticate accounts, provide travel-directory and meetup features, prevent abuse, respond to safety reports, maintain security, and improve the service. We do not sell personal information.

Service providers

Passport2Pride currently uses Google Firebase for authentication and database security and Vercel for website hosting. If you choose Microsoft or Facebook login, that provider processes the sign-in request under its own privacy terms.

Storage and retention

We retain account and community information while your account is active or as reasonably needed to operate, secure, and comply with legal obligations. Local browser storage may remember your interface preferences. Safety records may be retained longer when reasonably necessary to protect users or resolve disputes.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your Passport2Pride account information. Disconnecting a social provider does not automatically delete information already held by Passport2Pride; follow the data-deletion instructions below.

Age and safety

Passport2Pride is intended only for adults age 18 and older. Authentication or verification badges do not guarantee another person’s identity, conduct, or safety.

Contact and deletion

Email jeff.r.christman@gmail.com with the subject “Passport2Pride Privacy” or use our data-deletion instructions.
